DURON® The DURON line of premium quality, heavy duty engine oils, is designed to improve engine reliability and reduce operating costs through its superior soot dispersancy and cold-starting abilities. The line is unique in that the majority of multi-grades exceed the latest API CI-4 Plus, Detroit Diesel 93K214, Mack EON Premium Plus ’03, Caterpillar ECF-1 and Cummins 20078 standards, while all the single grades are suitable where API category CF is recommended. DURON Heavy Duty Engine Oils may be used in engines fueled by diesel, gasoline, propane or compressed natural gas (CNG). This allows the selection of one engine oil for a mixed-fuel fleet, which meets most manufacturers’ warranty requirements. DURON Synthetic Multigrades, DURON XL Synthetic Blend and DURON are ideally suited to heavy duty diesel operations where very good cold starting performance is essential. DURON XL Synthetic Blend and DURON Synthetic oils have outstanding low temperature fluidity.

DURON® MULTIGRADE - are premium heavy duty engine oils, which fight soot and lower operating costs by increasing engine durability and reducing down time. They are recommended for year-round use in vehicles operating over the road, as well as in many off-highway applications, where good cold-starting performance is essential. DURON Multigrade Engine Oils possess all the properties required by the latest low emission engine designs - beyond those of API CI-4 Plus.

  • DURON Multigrades are excellent hydraulic fluid for mobile equipment, where a motor oil is specified.
  • DURON 15W-40 is suitable for use in the following high-speed marine engines, fueled by diesel or gasoline (where water separation is not required): Allis-Chalmers, B&W/Alpha, BMW, Buda, Caterpillar, Chrysler, Cummins, Daihatsu, John Deere, Detroit Diesel, Deutz, Dorman, English Electric, Fairbanks-Morse, Ford, Gardener, Hatz, Intrepid, Isuzu, Mack, MAN, Mitsubishi, Moteurs Badouin, MTU, Murphy, Nissan, Nohab, Onan, Paxman, Ruston, Stork/Werkspoor, Volvo, Wartsilla/ Wichman, Waukesha/Scania, Yanmar.
  • DURON 15W-40 & 10W-30 are suitable for use in transmissions, where a multigrade motor oil is specified.
  • DURON 15W-40 & 10W-30 are suitable for use in motor cycle manual transmissions requiring a JASO MA quality oil.

    DURON® SINGLE GRADE Petro-Canada DURON Single Grade Engine Oils are universal oils, designed to lubricate engines in heavy-duty service fueled by diesel, gasoline, propane or compressed natural gas (CNG). They are recommended for vehicles operating over the road, as well as many off-highway applications, such as forestry, mining, farming, construction and marine. DURON Single Grade Engine Oils are available in five SAE grades: 10W, 20, 30, 40 and 50.

  • DURON Single Grades can be used in transmissions, where a motor oil is specified.
  • DURON Single Grades are excellent hydraulic fluids for mobile equipment, where a motor oil is specified.

    DURON® SYNTHETIC - is a full synthetic, super premium, all season heavy duty engine oil, designed for the best 4-stroke diesel engine oil wide temperature range performance. Under the most exacting conditions, and in extreme hot/cold temperature environments, DURON SYNTHETIC will provide maximum reliability and wear protection, and may be used in extended drain service along with good operating practices and maintenance programs.

    DURON® XL SYNTHETIC BLEND (Semi-Synthetic) - are super premium, heavy duty engine oils specially formulated to meet the rigors of cold, harsh winters and are recommended for year-round use in vehicles operating in both highway and off-highway applications. DURON XL Synthetic Blend 15W-40 possesses the superior soot dispersing properties required by the latest low emission engine designs – beyond that of API CI-4 Plus, Detroit Diesel Power Guard 93K214, Mack EO-N Premium Plus ’03, Caterpillar ECF-1 and Cummins 20078. It is especially recommended for use in severe operating conditions, in both highway and off-highway applications. DURON XL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 delivers the same high temperature performance as the SAE 15W-40 grade, but with superior low-temperature fluidity for easier winter operation and fuel savings through reduced idling time and viscous drag. DURON XL Synthetic Blend 0W-30 is fully approved against the demanding requirements of API CH-4, Caterpillar ECF-1, Mack EO-M Plus and Cummins 20076. It permits unassisted start-ups down to - 45°C. It exhibits the ultimate low temperature performance in the DURON line and exceeds the requirements for high termperature film strength of a 30 grade oil. It is also an excellent hydraulic fluid for mobile equipment, where a motor oil is specified.
